Meeting Highlights at a Glance
The TERMIS-AM conference brings together the multidisciplinary community of persons across the world engaged or interested in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas to foster collaboration, and promotes education and research within the discipline.
TERMIS-Americas Conference and Expo 2013 offers the industry's most dynamic forum for reporting on new discoveries, sharing data and insights and advancing collaborative efforts. The scientific program design will again feature today's most promising academic research efforts, combined with new developments and discoveries -- all setting the standards for achieving far-reaching impacts our roles in tissue engineering.
Please join us in Atlanta as we celebrate the past and report scientific discovers that will define the future of the tissue engineering and regenerative medicine industry.

NEW THIS YEAR!
Opening Symposium: Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine: Origins and its Evolution
This opening symposium, Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine: Origins and its Evolution, will gather past,
present and future leaders to mark this important 25-year milestone since the first federally-funded
tissue engineering meeting held at Granlibakken, Lake Tahoe, California in February 1988.
As the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine has evolved over the years, resulting in groundbreaking medical science discoveries, it is important to revisit the discipline's history and lessons learned in order to guide the future of this ever-expanding, multidisciplinary field. Special recognition will also be given to the major pioneering leaders of the field and their important contributions. The symposium will be of great value to trainees and young investigators who will gain a better understanding and appreciation for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine as a research discipline.
Celebrate the TERMIS Community! Conference guests are invited to continue the celebration. Plans are underway to toast to the industry's progress during a special reception at a popular local Atlanta attraction. Hosted by the Parker H. Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience at Georgia Tech and corporate friends. More details to follow!!
Purpose and Scope:
The 2013 TERMIS-Americas Conference and Expo is the 12th in a series of continental meetings organized for the tissue engineering and regenerative medicine community. The conference will convene scientific and industry experts from all over the world who will be selected to report on their most recent research findings.
TERMIS-Americas 2013 will again be supported by an ever-growing industry base. In addition to our exhibitor and sponsor showcase, planning is now underway to feature an expanded glimpse into the industry's economic forecasts and a variety of new commercial opportunities available.
Most importantly, the Society is committed to bringing you closer to key professionals to support your mutual understanding of the field, accelerate your research in the field and to enable you to contribute to the ultimate medical discoveries. The #1 reason listed by past conference attendees as their reason to attend is having the ability to interact and learn from each other.
