Submission of Abstracts

At TERMIS AP 2011, academics and researchers are invited to submit their research work under any of the conference topics. If accepted, authors will be given the chance to present their work either in the form of an oral presentation or a poster presentation. Each submission will be peer reviewed. Please read the following instructions carefully before proceeding to submit your abstract(s) for the conference.

General Guidelines

Submission of an abstract does not constitute registration for the Conference. Presenting authors are encouraged to submit their registration together with their abstracts. The TERMIS AP 2011 Abstract Submission Form and the TERMIS AP 2011 Abstract Template may be downloaded from http://www.communicationconsultants.sg/termis2011/. A TERMIS AP 2011 Abstract Submission Form and the abstract, prepared on the TERMIS AP 2011 Abstract Template, must be submitted for each abstract.

Abstracts must be submitted via email to reach the Conference Secretariat before 20th May 2011.

Notifications of acceptance will be sent to corresponding authors by 1st June 2011. Upon receipt of this notification, presenting authors are required to register themselves by 30th June 2011 if they have not already done so.

Corresponding authors are responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have read and approved the abstract submitted.

Submissions not conforming to established submission guidelines will not be reviewed.

Abstract Format

Only abstracts prepared on the TERMIS AP 2011 Abstract Template will be accepted.

Abstracts must be typed, single spaced, using Times New Roman typeface in 10-point size only. Abstract text must be single line spaced and justified at the left margin only. Do not leave blank lines between paragraphs. Do not indent.

Abstract title should appear in upper case and bold. Do not indent. The title should be concise and reflect the content of the abstract.

Use first initial followed by last name. Omit degrees. For paper submissions, place an asterisk (*) after the name of the author presenting the paper. On a separate line, type as succinctly as possible the names of institutions and countries.

Leave one line blank in between the title/author block and the abstract text. The abstract text should include background, methods, results, and conclusion.

Each abstract may contain up to a maximum of 250 words, excluding title, authors and institutions, and should not include images/tables.

Use italics only when appropriate (e.g. for names of genus and species).

Abstracts will be published as submitted, i.e. any error appearing in the submitted abstract will appear in the published abstract book.

Each abstract must be submitted in electronic form as a MS Word for Windows document.
