EU Patient Survey
The European sections of the Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine Society (TERMIS-EU), of the International Society of Cellular Therapy (ISCT-Europ), and of the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS), have joined forces with the European group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) and the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) to establish a comprehensive, quantitive map of patients being treated in Europe with specific cell types, sorted by the cell processes and delivery modes used. We deem this as a great opportunity for the different involved societies to have an effective impact in the scientific, clinical and regulatory aspects of cellular therapy.

2009 TIP Competition
The Technology Innovation Program (TIP) at NIST has announced a competition in two critical national need topic areas, one of which is manufacturing, focusing on new technologies for predictive modeling to enable improved material properties and better process design tools and for improved methods to scale up advanced materials production from laboratory processes and to integrate advanced materials into products.
This 2009 TIP competition will be limited to technologies for nanomaterials; composites; and superalloys, alloys and smart materials—the three classes of materials considered most critical to potential growth areas for manufacturing.
The NIST press release for the FY 2009 competition.
