Call for Symposia

2018 TERMIS World Congress is pleased to announce that the

Call for Symposia has been closed.

Symposia Proposal Deadline is September 30, 2017

The symposia will have a format with 1 keynote speaker with a 30 (25+5) minute slot and 4 general speakers with 15 (12+3) minute talk for each. The symposium organizer will be responsible for the selection of the respective keynote speaker, general speakers, and 2 session chairs. The organizer may serve as the keynote speaker, a general speaker, and a chair of the session. Confirmation from the keynote speaker, potential general speakers, and the session chairs is essential as part of the proposal. The session chairs must attend and chair the session. The 4 general speakers can be either invited or selected from the submitted abstracts by the symposium organizers. The organizers will be responsible for reviewing the abstracts for the symposium session.

Due to budget constraints the TERMIS World Congress will not be able to provide financial support for the symposium organizer. Waived registration fees will not be provided to any speaker (keynote or invited) for the symposia.

We expect the symposia to be highly competitive. The symposia proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:

  1. Relevance to the TERMIS World Congress theme “Integration of Industry, Academia, and Government for Regeneration Medicine”
  2. Current scientific impact of the symposium theme proposed
  3. Scientific background of the suggested speakers

The TERMIS World Congress scientific advisory committee reserves the right to cancel a symposium if a critical number of abstracts are not received for the symposium. The committee also expects a diversity of the groups represented in the final choice of abstracts. If the symposium is cancelled, the abstracts will be moved to a general session and the abstracts ranked accordingly.

In addition, in a likely scenario that two (2) or more competitive proposals are submitted in the same thematic area the scientific advisory committee may request to combine the proposals into a consolidated symposium.

If you have any questions regarding the symposia organization, please let us know. We will be happy to answer all your queries and assist you in every way.
